You love animals and children, and I do too. That’s why I paint them! I want to capture what is special about the ones you love; their beauty and their spirit. A unique painted portrait celebrates and honors your loved ones, and brings beauty and originality to your home.
Who are the special art collectors that commission portraits of their children?
Collectors of Jessie’s portrait paintings are unique individuals who love both having artwork in their lives, and who love and enjoy their family – either human or animal.
Many of my mom and baby portrait collectors are enjoying the baby bonding moments tremendously, and are keenly aware of the fleeting quality of this time. They get great pleasure from having a beautiful, unique, creative reminder in their homes of this sweet time. A portrait painting that brings a smile to the family for a lifetime.
For them, I immortalize a special time in their loved one’s life in a beautiful, unique, painterly, painted portrait.
“I am blown away by this painting and we will treasure it forever. Thank you so very much for this.”

Who are collectors of animal portraits?
Collectors of animal portraits are art lovers and animal lovers. Unique people who love having artwork in their lives, many of whom have collected other artwork of mine or who have followed my painting career for years or even a decade, and they want a painting that celebrates an animal they love.
Our animal companions, friends, and family bring so much love into our lives. Honoring them in a painting is a wonderful way to celebrate their life and our love of them.
I have always loved animals. Some of my earliest memories are of enjoying time with animals. I had a cat for 22 years, through thick and thin, and know how a cat can become a close friend and confidante. Now we have two dogs with very different but both sweet and fun personalities. Our home would not be the same without them.
I paint the animals that bring joy and love to collectors, and in that way bring happy memories, beauty and love to their homes for a lifetime. Read about the fun and easy process of commissioning a portrait.
I just got the painting and it is beautiful…. I love it. The best Christmas Eve in a very long time.
Thank you and Merry Christmas!

About professional portrait artist Jessie Rasche
I love children and animals. We have one child, whom I adore. And right now we have 2 dogs at home, both full of character. And the birds, cows and horses all around us bring me a lot of joy. When collectors have told me that my paintings bring that sort of joy and sweet feelings to their walls, I consider that the highest praise.
I have wonderful collectors across America, Canada, and over in the UK, and have the honor of having substantial paintings in several public collections.
Here’s Otter, one of my sweet studio assistants.
About Jessie’s Painted Portraits
I use artist grade oil paint on high quality canvas to create each painted portrait.

When a collector contacts me about commissioning a painted portrait, we talk together about their hopes for a portrait and make sure I am the right portrait artist for the project. If so, we follow the portrait painting process that I’ve created to make a great and stress-free experience for each portrait collector.
“Just a quick note to say the painting arrived safely – definitely the best packing job I have ever seen. The painting is fabulous, even better than expected. Thanks so much for sending it off so quickly and safely.

More About the Artist
“Jessie is an American Artist, based in South Dakota. She specializes in oil portraits of children and landscape paintings filled with animals. Her brushy, painterly style expresses a love of the material as well as the subject matter, and is inspired by Contemporary Realists as well as the Impressionist and Classical movements of the past.”
The paintings in the top photo are part of my Infinite Landscape exhibition, which has shown at Johnson Fine Art Center at Northern State University, and then at the Bates Trimble Gallery at Washington Pavilion. I am currently in the process of finding the next location for this exhibition to travel to. If you are a museum curator who would like to exhibit this group of works, contact me.
The exhibition contains 38 paintings, which can be added to or subtracted from to best fit the exhibition space.
